Monster Truck Action

The three of us attended Monster Truck racing and freestyle on Sunday...without earplugs, unfortunately. Our favorite truck was called "Grave Digger" who managed to drive into, over the top of and over the edge of a car sitting in the middle of the speedway (pictured above). The closer the kicked up scrap metal flew toward the audience, the more the crowd cheered. I'm not sure we really got it. It was unclear to us what was supposed to be "impressive" about what the trucks did, I guess.

I'll bet that if we had a sonogram of Oliver at Monster Trucks he would not have had that sweet little hand up to his mouth, but would have had his hands over his ears! This can only lead to listening to music too loud...and by the time he gets old enough to do that, you will be old, and wish he listened to quieter music. (Just remember you heard it here first.)

I didn't realize you had been posting updates. I was going to the blog every week for a bit there and saw nothing and then gave up. Glad to see you all are sharing.

Oliver is going to be an interesting man. He'll probably have a mullet and check out NASCAR and then the following week he'll have a beret on and recite poetry. He'll have all kinds of friends. Can't wait to meet him...

It's very important that you understand why trucks such as Grave Digger are impressive. IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME! I am so sorry not to have been with the three of you for this important day in prenatal development. Much love to you!
